Yesterday, the Management Board of Corridor North Sea-Rhine-Mediterranean met for a strategy workshop in Utrecht. At the ProRail premises, the future direction of the Corridor’s work was discussed, including train performance management, TCRs along the Corridor, and capacity management by the C-OSS.
The workshop focused on the overall strategy for the RFC and on specific next steps to be pursued in the coming months, together with our stakeholders.
In addition to reviewing current challenges and opportunities, participants shared best practices and recent achievements across the Corridor. Special attention was given to fostering closer collaboration between infrastructure managers, railway undertakings, and terminals to improve operational efficiency and service reliability. The Board also addressed digitalization opportunities and how innovative solutions could support the Corridor’s long-term goals.
The interactive format encouraged open discussion and the exchange of diverse perspectives, strengthening the team spirit and joint commitment to the Corridor’s success. Action points and follow-up activities were agreed upon, ensuring that all partners remain aligned as they work towards the shared vision for a competitive, sustainable European rail freight corridor.
The Management Board expresses its appreciation to ProRail for hosting the event and to all participants for their active contributions, which will help shape the next steps for the RFC North Sea-Rhine-Mediterranean.
