ICM Case – Train derailment in Emmerich

DB InfraGO has informed us about a train derailment and subsequent track closure in Emmerich at the Dutch-German border. The line is expected to be closed until next week, therefore the ICM process was started. The main re-routing option in use is via Venlo.

A first telco has been arranged between our Infrastructure Managers and as well as an internal RU telco.

Please find down below an overview for re-routing solutions. Further information will be shared as soon as it is available.

In collaboration with all affected stakeholders, contingency measures are being coordinated to minimize operational impacts. Close monitoring of the situation remains ongoing, and dedicated teams are working to restore regular traffic as soon as possible. All freight and passenger operators are urged to stay updated through official communication channels, as re-routing options and operational instructions may be adjusted depending on repair progress and capacity.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period. Our priority is to ensure the safety of all involved and to resume normal operations swiftly and efficiently.
