Yann le Floc’h is leaving the Corridor as Managing Director

Yann le Floc’h has officially left the RFC North Sea–Mediterranean team this week and re-joined SNCF Réseau.

He joined the Corridor in October 2019 as Managing Director, after several years in key positions at SNCF Réseau. Yann’s term at RFC North Sea Mediterranean began during the early days of COVID-19, a challenging period for European rail freight. Despite the difficult context, he made significant contributions to the corridor.

He spearheaded the Capacity Intelligence project on RFC NSM, with the ambition to enable all stakeholders to objectively identify bottlenecks, understand their root causes, and have a clear common view on the capacity situation.

He launched the Lyon–Bettembourg QCO together with CFL, CFL Cargo, Bettembourg terminal, SNCF Réseau teams, and the port Edouard Herriot , significantly improving this traffic flow punctuality.

He contributed significantly to the merger of the NSM and RALP corridors, which resulted in the creation of the North Sea–Rhine–Mediterranean corridor. Yann le Floc’h strongly reinforced relationships with terminals, railway undertakings, operators, and infrastructure managers, deepening cooperation across the corridor.

Yann will now take on the role of Head of Capacity, Operations, Interoperability, and Safety within the European Affairs Department at SNCF Réseau.

The entire RFC North Sea – Rhine – Mediterranean team thanks him warmly for his dedication, leadership, and contributions, and wishes him all the best for this next chapter of his career.

Furthermore, RFC NSRM is delighted to announce that Ms Sibel Ozcan will take over as Deputy Managing Director on the 01st of December and continues to be responsible for the performance management.
